We are delighted to report that, thanks to an excellent response from across the community - individuals, business and organisations - the funding target for the refurbishment of the the organ at St Mary's Church Banbury, has been reached and that these works have also been completed in time for Easter.
A Free Grand Celebration Choral & Organ Concert will be held on Saturday 7th May at 7.30pm. Tudor Hall School Choir will join St Mary's Church Choir to sing Faure's Requiem, the Hallelujah Chorus and other well-known anthems, with Lindsey Lea-James, Head of Music at Tudor Hall, conducting. Jonathan Clarke (MD at St Mary's & Stephen Taylor will celebrate with pieces on the refurbished organ - including Bach's Toccata in D minor.
We are trying to contact everyone who donated in any way to the fundraising campaign to ensure they can reserve tickets. Tickets for supporters and for the general public are available from One Man Band or by phoning 01295-270371 or emailing fredriches@talktalk.net.
We would like to express our thanks through the website to all who have helped - and thank everyone involved for your support over the past year.
Yours sincerely
