Preserving Our Heritage for Our Future

In April 2010 St Mary's Banbury launched the Organ Appeal to raise £40,000 for the restoration, repair and conservation of her pipe organ. The pipe organ in St Mary's traces its history back 245 years, and is a significant aspect of church and community life.

Church members have already raised just over half the amount, but we need your help to make sure this wonderful instrument is there for many generations to come!

You can help in one of four ways - by sponsoring a pipe, purchasing a special souvenir CD of music played on the pipe organ, sponsoring Revd Linda Green's "Channel" swim or making a cash donation.

Message from Revd Linda Green, Priest-in-Charge

Many many thanks to everyone involved in the music at St Mary's, every member of the Organ Fundraising Group and every member of our church who has donated their time, energy, talents and financial support to this venture. St Mary's Banbury is today truly a vibrant community - building on the best traditions of the past, watchful for opportunities in the present, and praying for discernment as we seek to follow God's way into the future.
